Terms of Service

Last updated: September 16, 2026

These terms are written in plain language on purpose. They are a legal agreement between you and RepoHop ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using RepoHop, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use RepoHop.

1. What RepoHop is

RepoHop is an access layer between AI agents and development environments on your own computer. You install RepoHop Local, register repositories, and authorize outside AI agents to operate on those repositories through RepoHop Cloud.

RepoHop is not an AI agent, a model provider, a code host, or a cloud development environment. We do not plan, reason, or write code for you. The agents do that. We provide the connection, the permissions, and the audit trail.

2. Third-party agents: no affiliation, your risk

This is important, so we put it near the top.

Grok Bot, Muse.ai, Vellum, Gemini Spark, Letta, and any other agents you connect are independent third parties. RepoHop is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with any of them. Names and icons shown in our product or marketing are illustrative examples only.

Each agent has its own terms of service, privacy policy, usage limits, and prices. Those apply between you and the agent provider. Ours do not override them.

You understand and accept that RepoHop is not responsible for:

  • anything an agent does on your computer, in your repositories, or to your files — including edits, deletions, broken code, or lost work;
  • your agent account being limited, suspended, or banned by an agent provider for any reason;
  • the quality, correctness, or safety of anything an agent generates;
  • any fees an agent provider charges you, including usage overages;
  • an agent disclosing anything it can access, including secrets or private code it was permitted to read.

Before you grant an agent access to a repository, assume it can read everything that permission allows. Grant the minimum permissions you need, review what agents do, and keep your own backups. Our emergency freeze (repohop freeze) stops further writes, but it cannot undo what already happened.

3. Your account

You must be legally able to enter into a contract where you live. One account per person unless we approve otherwise. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account is compromised.

4. Plans and payment

RepoHop offers two paid plans: Solo ($9/month or $90/year) and Pro ($19/month or $190/year), with higher limits for devices, repositories, connections, and activity history. Both plans include unlimited tool calls. An active paid plan is required to add or use RepoHop resources. Current limits are shown on our pricing page and in the product.

Paid plans bill in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges, and the current paid period runs to its end without a prorated refund except where consumer law requires one. If payment fails, paid features are suspended after notice until payment succeeds.

Billing limits restrict creating new resources. We will never silently delete your repositories, connections, or history because of billing state.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or violate anyone else's rights using RepoHop;
  • probe, attack, or disrupt RepoHop Cloud, the relay, or other users' connections;
  • circumvent permission controls, grant scopes, rate limits, or billing limits;
  • use RepoHop to access computers or repositories you do not own or have permission to use;
  • resell or white-label RepoHop access without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that do these things, with or without prior notice where abuse is ongoing.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • backing up your repositories and important files — RepoHop is not a backup service;
  • the permissions you grant to each agent connection;
  • keeping the computer running RepoHop Local secure and up to date;
  • complying with your employer's or client's policies before connecting work repositories;
  • all activity under your account, including activity by agents you authorized.

7. Disclaimers

RepoHop is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent the law allows.

In particular: command execution through RepoHop is not sandboxed. Commands run as your local user with normal developer-level authority. Do not grant execution permission to an agent you do not trust with your machine.

We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, and we are not responsible for downtime, lost data, or delayed agent actions.

8. Limit of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, RepoHop and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, files, code, or goodwill — even if advised of the possibility.

Our total liability for any claim arising from RepoHop is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they apply only to the extent permitted.

9. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold RepoHop harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of RepoHop, your violation of these terms, or actions of agents you authorized, except to the extent caused by our own fault.

10. Termination

You may stop using RepoHop at any time and delete your account from settings, which revokes all connections and starts deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these terms or for extended non-payment, generally with prior notice unless urgent abuse requires faster action.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the product or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continuing to use RepoHop after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
